In February of 2020, Staples launched it's Staples Connect store format. More than the familiar Staples big-box store, the new format offered customer-focused solutions and experiences.
The new stores included a robust technology department and the signage needed to have a premium feel. Staples asked us to concept and execute this signage. Rather than use vendor supplied images, as they have done in other Staples stores, they asked us to develop a series of product images that would give the department a cohesive feel.

My presentation included surfaces, product composition and lighting direction for each product.


Image composition was planned to highlight important product features, and the surfaces were varied to add drama to the overall look for this section of the store.









Each image was used in the Staples Connect stores, giving the technology aisle a polished and branded feel.
The assignment included art direction for all images, along with final sized artwork files including visual merchandising specifications, delivered to Staples vendor for production of all light box signage.
