Ever since I can remember, I've been involved in something creative. As a kid, you could find me drawing pictures of my grandfather's horse, making furniture or wallpaper for my dollhouse, or designing the programs for the many plays my sister would write.
Growing up in a small, coastal Massachusetts town, my first job was working for a sailmaker, making sails, bags and anything canvassy. This job helped me to buy my first camera, while also letting me combine my interests in sailing, sewing, and avoiding after school sports (not really, but sort of).
In college, I studied design and typography at Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMASS Dartmouth) and was itching to get out in the world and make things!
I've been fortunate to work for some well-known brands such as Newbury Comics, Stride Rite, Nantucket Nectars, and Staples. I look for ways to create meaningful connections between brands and their consumers. I enjoy learning and leveraging new trends and tools, and seek out unexpected ways to inspire my creativity.
From time to time, I try to make a point to unplug from everything and travel somewhere so that I can recharge. New sights and sounds help me to reinvigorate my creativity.
