Dooney & Bourke is a premiere American designer of fine accessories in leather and fabric. For three years I created multiple versions of their seasonal catalog, conveying the essence of fine craftsmanship and quality materials, along with an appeal to their well-travelled customer.

Individual product lines were often promoted with small direct mail pieces or brochures. The accordion fold brochure above featured a number of handbags in their "All-weather Leather" collection.
The interesting thing about this project is that this was all shot on film. Each bag was photographed in a tray of water, shot a second time to capture the reflection in the water, and shot additional times for ripples and water droplets in the water. All of the images were then composited for the final image to show that the bags each had a waterproof base.

The Cabriolet collection incorporated new illustrations to show the product line's relationship to a car's cabriolet top. I worked with Edwin Fotheringham (aka Mr. Fotheringham) and his signature "blotty line" ink style.
